Do something different this Valentine’s Day.
Instead of the standard dinner and a movie this year, take the afternoon and travel with your sweetheart or gal pals to the 15th annual Lodi Wine and Chocolate Weekend. What’s not to love about a weekend of wine and chocolate in the Lodi Wine Country?
40 wineries will be participating this year and going all out to give you an amazing day full of entertainment, delicious food, fun themed wine rooms, and, of course decadent chocolate and award-winning wines.
Try the chocolate covered bacon at H-G Vineyards, party Mardi Gras style at d’Art Wines, enjoy chocolate covered baklava and other Greek treats at Omega Cellars, relax with live saxophone jazz at Harmony Wynelands, then shake things up with me (belly dancer, Nyla Crystal) at Acquiesce Winery for their grand opening of Lodi’s only all white wine winery.
Wine, Chocolate, and Belly Dance? What?
The grand opening of Acquiesce, an all white wine winery, is shaking up the Lodi Wine Country with their Rhone inspired white and rosé wines.
But the shaking doesn’t stop there!
In celebration of their grand opening, Acquiesce will have Rosé Jell-O “shooters” for you to sample along with their fruit-focused grenache blanc, Belle Blanc blend, and dry rosé, a blend of zinfandel and grenache.
Still not enough shaking?
Enjoy a professional belly dance performance at Acquiesce winery. I will be there both days from 11am-5pm performing with beautiful silk veils, stunning red, pink, and wine colored costumes, and showcasing my thrilling sword balancing belly dance routines. Get inspired to throw your own Arabian Nights or Casablanca themed party.
Shimmy and shake with a belly dancer!
Throughout the day, I will be offering free mini-belly dance lessons for the ladies (and gentlemen if they are so brave). Concerned with your dance abilities? Don’t worry, I’m a trained belly dance instructor and can show you some fool proof belly dancing to make you look amazing!
You’ll be surprised at how easy some of the belly dance moves are. After your mini-lesson, show off your glamor and new found talent with a couple of snapshots to prove to the folks back at home that you really did belly dance at a winery!
Then you can indulge on the white chocolate Grenache Blanc gourmet cupcakes knowing you had your belly dance exercise for the day.
Wine, Chocolate, and Belly Dance. Now That Makes Sense.
Sound like fun? A Valentine’s weekend of wine, chocolate, and belly dance sure beats one night at a crowded restaurant, but with the event being on the weekend, your Tuesday night will still be free for that Valentine’s dinner too!
Come join me, an award-winning, internationally performing belly dancer (and PhD biochemist at UC Davis), and Sue Tipton, the Rhone-inspired white wine wonder and owner of Acquiesce Winery for a fabulous Valentine’s Day celebration in the Lodi Wine Country.
Tickets can be purchased in advance for $45 online or at the door of any participating winery for $55 and are valid for both days if you keep your wrist band on. Included in the entrance fee are a commemorative wine glass, a chocolate tin, wine tasting and admission to 40 participating wineries.
